National University of Science and Technology MISiS website 2.0

The National University of Science and Technology MISiS became an independent institution in 1930. Today, it includes nine institutes that train specialists in the most advanced fields: quantum and biotechnology, materials science, modern metallurgy, mining and information technology, offering a total of 57 academic programs.
Following a major rebranding, the university needed a website that matched its new positioning and updated identity. The studio helped bring this vision to life.
Consistent presentation formats for similar elements
Banners across the website now follow a unified set of design principles and appear as parts of a cohesive visual system. Custom rules were developed for lists, fades and various block types, resulting in a dynamic and fresh look.

Faster page building with a block library
Together with the client, we identified the most frequently used block types on the website and created the most in-demand formats. These were added to a design library, making it easy to build new sections without worrying about visual compatibility. Once a page is assembled, it can be fine-tuned to meet the specific needs of the project.

Customizable elements: colors, composition and state
Ready-made blocks are available for detailed adjustments: designers can manually tweak colors, reposition images, change the number of items in lists and define bullet styles as needed.
Assembling special project pages
There’s always something important and interesting happening at the university, from lectures by professors from top universities to workshops for school students and scientific award ceremonies. Each event deserves a well-designed, informative landing page that highlights the unique features of the occasion.

UI kit for smooth collaboration
Designers and developers working on the website maintain a consistent visual style thanks to the comprehensive design system. It includes specifications for headers of all levels, fonts, sizes, spacing, colors and gradients: everything that appears on the pages is thoroughly documented.
